Alex and Stephanie's day was all together incredible. I tend to say that about most weddings, but there was something extraordinarily different about this wedding. It could have been the large amount of beautiful Filipino family members, Stephanie's dress that ruffled with layers of sheer white or maybe it was the serenity Stephanie had about her throughout each moment of her big day.
My brides are almost always sweet and patient during their days, but Stephanie's demeanor was something I had not seen, and I couldn't put my finger on what it was until one of her bridesmaids told me she really cared most about the catechesis of this big day.
That was it. Her true love for the Lord and His awesome plan for her life were coming together in a couple hours, and she was preparing to be united with the man she loved at the altar of the Lord she loved.
Enjoy this blog, dear friends. These favorite photographs are here for your eyes to see the beauty
and these honest words are here for your ears to hear the truth of her day.
And before I start, a big thanks to all the amazing vendors who made the logistics come together :)

"The bond of marriage is lifted up in a special way when it's viewed as God's design, a bond of love that is faithful in the midst of good and trying times. Those who are married understand that marriage comes with these good times and trials.
In the midst of these times, seek out what is best for your spouse... getting them to heaven. Continue to pray for one another. The power of your prayer is also what will give you strength that your marriage may remain strong and encourage others.
I pray that Jesus be the source of your strength,
and be the model you can look to for wisdom and covenantal love in your marriage.
May the lord bless your marriage and keep you both strong in wisdom."

The ceremony Stephanie and Alex celebrated was chock full of awesome Filipino traditions. They exchanged rings and coins, and were covered in a cloth and cord to represent their unity. The entire ceremony lasted about an hour and a half, but every moment I watched as Stephanie was fully engaged in all the movements and meanings happening.
After the ceremony, we took the bridal party to Cool Creek Park for
the most lovely evening photographs to capture their joy, and I think we did :)
These aren't all the photos, but my absolute favorites from the time together, with the one of Stephanie's mouth hanging open in shock that the men were climbing on top of the limo.
We all arrived back at the Renaissance for a perfectly planned, beautiful reception waiting, and the excitement of seeing Mr. and Mrs. Schaffer mounted. Cheers rang through the ballroom as they entered and after dinner was served, the toasts, surprise serenades and first dances were to sweet to miss :) Throughout the evening, Stephanie smiled graciously and we all swooned over her incredible dress, serene demeanor and fun-filled personality :)
