Toma and Nick's Bel Air Wedding in Kokomo, Indiana
Toma and Nick's journey to the aisle the day after our country remembered the tragedy of 9/11 was a sweet redemptive snapshot of how beauty rises high through ashes and loss. Our day together started out capturing all the touches of rose pink, light white and bud green that were in every detail.
The colors gleamed throughout the morning while Toma prepared for the day ahead. Her dress rustled as her mother and sister shuffled her into the flowing layers of Marie Gabriel Couture Bridal fabric. Her hair fell swiftly as it snugly set into place for us to capture images of the beauty!
And at whatever the cost, Nick was not going to see Toma before she walked down the aisle, so with a rose pink door separating the two, their hands met for a first touch. Afterwards, they opened letters from one another, one of the touches that always brings tears to my eyes.
At the start of the ceremony, we sat in wait as the mothers, bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle. The second these three bustling flower girls came through the rose pink doors, we all got ready for what we were about to see... Nick's bride. They stood together underneath a canopy of brushed steel and twinkling gems to light the single candle that would set them off, ready for their future. Every moment was so special, the pastor was so reverent and the mood was so hushed as these two said I do :)
Afterwards, we just had to pull them away to take photos of them and their bridal party at Bel Air Events and Kokomo Country Club Golf Course! We definitely enjoyed the ride there in the party bus, with beats pumping and apple pie moonshine sipping before arriving back at the Bel Air to enjoy the evening and be sent off with sparklers shining. These fire sparkles rose high in the air, and were a reminder of how brightly beauty shines through ashes and loss.
